Boss Industries of LaPorte, Ind., has acquired the commercial assets of HIPPO Multipower, which includes HIPPO’s full line of mobile multipower solutions for utilities, municipalities, railroads and industrial coatings.

“We are very excited to partner with the HIPPO team to add several market leading mobile power solutions to our ever-expanding product portfolio. This strategic acquisition will allow us to continue providing best in class solutions to our customers in addition to expanding the services offered to HIPPO’s existing customer base”, says Todd Hudson, president, Boss Industries.

HIPPO Multipower was founded in Kansas City, Mo. in 1972 as a truck equipment upfitter, specializing in aerial bucket trucks. After developing a reputation as a mobile hydraulic equipment specialist, HIPPO built the industry’s first multipower unit in 198, delivering hydraulic, air and electric power, all from one unit powered by the truck’s PTO.

BOSS Industries will manufacture and distribute the HIPPO commercial product line through its distribution channels and develop new products with the HIPPO commercial team
